Empowered Women in Trades Alliance

Building Representation Where It Matters Most

At Multiworks, championing women in construction is embedded in our culture and reflected in the way we build our teams.

We are proud to announce our alliance with Empowered Women In Trades (EWIT) Group Australia, an organisation creating meaningful pathways for women and gender-diverse people across the trades. Their work in building connection, supporting workplaces, and increasing participation in site-based roles aligns closely with our long-term vision for the industry.

This partnership represents more than collaboration. It reflects our commitment to strengthening representation where it matters most.

Where We Stand Today

Women currently make up 17 of our 100-strong workforce. While there is more work to do, we are proud of the progress we have made in building a diverse and inclusive team.

Within our office environment, female representation is strong. Of our 24 office-based team members, approximately 15 are women, representing more than 60 percent of our corporate team. Women across our business contribute to leadership, operations, finance, safety, project coordination, and technical functions that drive impact every day.

We also have team members contributing remotely and across project environments, demonstrating the breadth of opportunity available within our organisation.

However, like much of the construction industry, we recognise that the greatest opportunity for progress lies on site and across the trades.

Strengthening Representation On Site

Construction remains one of Australia’s most male-dominated industries, particularly within site-based and trade roles. While we are proud of the women shaping our business, we are focused on increasing participation on the ground, where greater representation can influence culture, visibility, and long-term career pathways.

Our alliance with EWIT supports this goal by helping to build stronger pipelines into the trades, supporting inclusive workplaces, and fostering environments where women can thrive and progress.

Through this partnership, we are committed to:

  • Increasing female participation in site-based roles

  • Creating safe and supportive project environments

  • Strengthening retention through mentorship and leadership development

  • Contributing to industry-wide change through collaboration

Our 30 by 30 Commitment

This partnership is an important step toward our 30 by 30 commitment, our goal to reach 30 percent female representation across our workforce by 2030.

Achieving this requires intentional action. It means attracting new talent, supporting career progression, and building an environment where women choose to stay and grow in the industry.

Representation is not only about numbers. It is about visibility, opportunity, and ensuring women in construction feel supported to build meaningful, long-term careers.

Building the Industry We Want to See

We are proud of the strong female representation within our corporate team. Our focus now is to extend that progress further into site operations and the trades.

Our partnership with EWIT reflects a shared commitment to building a more inclusive construction industry for the future.

At Multiworks, we are not only constructing projects. We are helping shape a workforce that reflects the industry we want to see.
