Multiworks was engaged to deliver the replacement of two ageing bridge decks along the regional rail corridor between Echuca and Deniliquin, works identified as critical to maintaining the structural integrity and operational continuity of the line.
Project Description
Given the line’s role in supporting freight and regional passenger services, the project was required to be delivered within tightly controlled shutdown windows to avoid disruptions to scheduled train movements. Multiworks deployed multiple shifts operating around the clock, with 24/7 delivery over the course of the rail possession period.
Through detailed planning, precision sequencing, and close collaboration with rail authorities, the bridge deck replacements were completed safely, without incident, and within the allocated shutdown timeframe—allowing the line to return to full operation on schedule.
