At the Broadmeadows site, Multiworks executed a parallel scope of works under the same contract, FORD-CON-0015, focused on the subdivision and decommissioning of the former manufacturing facility. The works included installation of domestic water, sewer, stormwater, natural gas, fire services, and HV electrical infrastructure, with services buried up to 5 metres deep.
Project Description
Environmental remediation was a critical component, addressing asbestos and chemical contamination in soil and groundwater. The site was subject to EPA audit criteria, and Multiworks implemented stringent controls to manage risk and ensure compliance.
The project also involved the construction of a new stormwater drainage system and separation of existing infrastructure to support future redevelopment. Fire safety upgrades were delivered in line with performance-based engineering solutions, and all works were staged to maintain site safety and operational continuity.
Multiworks coordinated a workforce of up to 120 personnel across both sites, delivering the project safely and efficiently.
