Multiworks was directly engaged by Ausgrid as the Principal Contractor for the construction of the new Greenacre Substation, including complex interconnection works with the existing adjacent substation.
Project Description
The project involved the delivery of major civil and electrical infrastructure across a highly constrained, operational environment. Key scope of works included:
- Remediation of over 30,000 tonnes of asbestos-contaminated soil
- Remediation of over 30,000 tonnes of asbestos-contaminated soil
- Delivery of three transformer bays
- Installation of over 300 metres of conduit runs, including through live substations
- Development of a new 132kV & 11kV switchyard
- HV cable pulling and installation of support structures
With a strong focus on safety, environmental management, and precision delivery, Multiworks successfully executed the works while maintaining the integrity of surrounding live assets, whilst overall contributing to the reliability and expansion of Ausgrid’s critical infrastructure network.
