Project Description

Multiworks was engaged to deliver a secure perimeter fence along the boundary of the former RAAF Base at Williams Landing, located on Melbourne’s western fringe. The project was undertaken as part of broader land redevelopment works and required the fence to extend to the shoreline, forming a barrier at the edge of sensitive coastal land.

Key features of the project included:

  • Over 1,100 metres of 2 m high security fencing
  • Installation of back stays and barbed wire across exposed and low-lying areas
  • Custom screw piles engineered for placement near the shoreline and intertidal zones
  • Delivery and installation across a former defence site with strict access protocols

With a combination of coastal interface, historical site constraints, and logistics around long fence runs, the Williams Landing fence reflects Multiworks’ adaptability in non-standard environments—and our growing footprint in perimeter security and boundary works for government and defence-related infrastructure.
