Construction of the Sandringham Substation was to assist in the removal of level crossings over the next eight years, improving safety and enabling more frequent train services.The scope of services included; 

  • Undertrack bore, Pits, Trenches & Conduits.
  • Foundations for building & overhead structures
  • Transformer yard – foundations, block work and access gates
  • Security fencing & Access Gates – substation as well as overhead structures
  • Architectural feature for the building (Mod-wood)
  • Installation of overhead structures,
  • Earth electrodes including conduits and bentonite
  • Storm water and Drainage
  • Substation Asphalt.
  • Demolition of Tie Station and removal of debris.
