Multiworks successfully completed 95% of works at the new Cranbourne Zone Substation two months ahead of schedule. This was achieved despite 45 days lost due to wet weather.

Project scope involved:

  • Construction of new heavy-duty access roads capable of carrying the load of the new transformers
  • Benching of new substation site with 22,000m3 of fill and compact to 98%
  • Construction of over 400m3 of reinforced concrete foundations for new primary plant and buildings
  • Installation of conduits
  • Installation of environmental runoff tank and bund walls to radiator foundation
  • Installation of new septic tank
  • Construction and installation of asphalt roadway, kerbing and bollards.
